The SA Best Practice of the Year Award celebrates excellence in the financial advisory profession by recognising the most professionally run practice each year.

“The SA Practice of the Year Award looks at the standards of business management in 130 independent financial advisory practices across the country, providing them with detailed feedback on how they fare.  This facilitates enhancements that help practices achieve more sustainable, profitable operations, ultimately resulting in better service delivery to consumers,” says Esmé Davies of Celestis Practice Management.  The aim of the award is to raise the professionalism of the local financial advisory industry.”

The FPI Financial Planner of the Year Award is the highest accolade a professional financial planner can obtain. Jointly sponsored by Personal Finance and the University of the Free State's Centre for Financial Planning Law, the adjudication process starts with the completion of an entry form and submission of a portfolio of evidence (replaces the case study from 2011). This is followed by a site visit and panel interview. Entrants must qualify to go through to each round.

Independent judges range from academics, industry experts and FPI Board members who participate in each round. The finalists and overall winner are announced at the FPI Annual Convention Gala Dinner.

Why do financial planning through a CFP ® (Certified Financial Planner)?

At Chartered Wealth, all our financial planners have the required financial planning qualifications, and we have nine Certified Financial Planners who can assist you with your financial planning requirements.

The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is a professional certification mark for financial planners.

To receive authorisation to use this designation, the candidate must meet education, examination, experience and ethics requirements, and pay an ongoing certification fee.  

According to the FPI (Financial Planning Institute), the best financial planning results come from working with an accredited FPI Financial Planning professional.  The FPI has three levels of professionally certified members, of which the Certified Financial Planner ® professional/CFP ® professional is the highest.
